Prize Giving

My school holds a big formal assembly annually with all the students, selected guests and invited parents, where they have performances, speeches from readers, and prizes given for a variety of things.

I won the Effort & Attainment prize a couple of years ago, and I was really surprised this year when I won another prize; the German achievement prize! It was a really nice prize to win, although I was a bit scared whilst going up on stage in case I fell over in front of everyone. (My shoe was a bit big and I nearly fell headfirst down the steps on the way down – but I don’t think that anyone noticed!)

This is a photo of me with my prize. I wish I could have got one of me in my dress for the assembly with the prize, but I forgot until I had gotten changed, so this is the best I have!

Prom Take 2..

Prom

My prom was on the 21st June at a local golf club. It was a beautiful, old venue. Everyone in my year looked so gorgeous, and it was a really great night that I will remember forever. Attached is a photo of my brother and I with my mum, and I will put up another photo of Ruaidhri and I in a new post.

It was a little rushed before prom. I was on the prom committee, so I had to organise all the decorations, the prom venue, the photographer, the event invitations, and the food. It was quite stressful, especially throughout our exams but I think it definitely paid off!
